Dr. Hicklin is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease. He is also board certified in nuclear cardiology. Dr. Hicklin is a member of the American College of Cardiology, the American College of Physicians, the American Society of Nuclear Medicine and the Society of General Internal Medicine. He has extensive experience in the diagnosis and treatment of structural and congenital heart defects, heart rhythm disorders, heart failure and coronary artery disease, among other conditions.

Background

Dr. Hicklin is a South Carolina native who graduated magna cum laude from Presbyterian College in Clinton, South Carolina, with a bachelor’s degree in biology. He then graduated from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine in Greenville with his medical degree and completed an internal medicine residency at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Dr. Hicklin continued his training with fellowships in cardiovascular disease and interventional/structural cardiology at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center, where he served as chief fellow during his third year.
