Expertise

Among other certifications, Dr. Giugliano is board certified in cardiovascular diseases, interventional cardiology, endovascular intervention and vascular medicine. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions and is an American Board of Internal Medicine diplomate. Dr. Giugliano recently served as the medical director of Interventional Cardiology at Northeast Georgia Health System, Georgia Heart Institute in Gainesville, Georgia, and chaired its Quality Committee. In addition, he trained cardiovascular disease fellows at Northeast Georgia Health System and interventional cardiology fellows at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, Massachusetts. He also trained general cardiology fellows in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at Baystate Medical Center, served as an attending physician for its Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit and oversaw its Cardiology Consultation Service.

Background

Dr. Giugliano graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in economics from Hamilton College in Clinton, New York, and a master’s degree in epidemiology from the Harvard School of Public Health in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He earned his medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta and completed his internal medicine residency at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas.
