Dr. Deasis was an attending orthopaedic surgeon at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria, Louisiana.

He has more than 10 years of experience providing patients of all ages with comprehensive orthopaedic care, including ACL reconstruction, fracture repair, meniscus repair, shoulder replacement, arthroscopy, rotator cuff repair and sports medicine services. Dr. Deasis is also board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.

Background

Dr. Deasis earned an undergraduate degree in human biology and a graduate degree in biological sciences from Stanford University in California. He then completed his medical degree at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport and an orthopaedic surgery residency at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania, where he served as chief resident.

After his residency, Dr. Deasis completed a sports medicine fellowship at the University of Missouri in Columbia. While there, he served as assistant team physician for its football, men’s and women’s basketball, baseball, softball, women’s soccer, women’s volleyball and women’s gymnastics programs.
